CeBIT 2017

Raspberry Pi annual birthday party in Cambridge

The Raspberry Pi Big Birthday Weekend was in full swing again on March 4th and 5th. For the 3rd year, the Raspberry Pi community was flocking to Cambridge.

This year, placed in a new venue, the birthday celebration of the world’s famous mini- computer took place in Cambridge Junction in the middle of town. Presentations, a fair, cake and burgers were on the plan for the weekend. We could see cool demos as well as buy the new 'Pi Zero W' that was new this month. This version of the Raspberry Pi can do Wifi – isn’t that great?

For everyone who couldn’t come, we collected some impressions. Have a look at the pictures below!

Have a lovely weekend,

Alex & Caro

Economists May Be Underestimating How Fast the Robots Are Coming

With regard to an article "Should economists be more concerned about Artificial Intelligence?" by Bank of Englands (BOE) regional agents Mauricio Armellini and Tim Pike, published in the Bank of England’s staff blog, the speed of adoption of General Purpose Technologies is the main difference between the former Industrial Revolutions and Digitalization:

"- BOE blog says technological change may be quicker than thought
  - Developed economies in danger of not adapting quickly enough"
